Holographic Security Labels for Cosmetics and Skincare

Here the seal has to pass a design review. A label that protects the product but spoils the box will not get approved.

The problem

What you are defending against

Fake cosmetics go on someone’s skin. A bad batch costs sales and puts your name on a safety story.

Cosmetics also leak between markets. Real product gets bought cheap in one country and sold in another. A numbered seal is often the only way to prove where a unit was meant to go.

And the box is the product. Whatever you stick on it has to look intended.

What we recommend

Custom hologram stickers

A small, well-made holographic seal carrying your own mark reads as a mark of quality rather than an anti-theft device. Specify a tight custom die and a restrained design, not a rainbow rectangle.

Specifications

Features worth specifying

  • Custom die-cut to your shape
  • Your logo embossed rather than printed
  • Micro-text around the border
  • Latent image, checkable by your distributors
  • Discreet serial numbering for market-of-sale traceability

Not sure which of these you need? That is a normal place to start. Every feature, and how each one is checked

Things that change the specification here

Design the seal, do not bolt it on

Holographic film can look premium or cheap depending almost entirely on restraint. A small monochrome-effect seal with your mark usually outperforms a large multi-colour one. Send us the packaging design and we will tell you what will sit well on it.

Curved and small surfaces

Lipstick tubes, droppers and narrow jars have tight radii that make larger labels lift at the edges. There is a minimum practical size for the curve. Tell us the diameter and we will work back from it.

Serials catch diversion, holograms do not

A hologram proves the unit is genuine. Only a serial proves which market it was released into. If diversion is your actual problem, the numbering matters more than the optics.

Tell us what you are protecting

Describe the product and the surface it goes on, and we will suggest a specification.
