A heated die presses the foil onto the surface and the shiny layer transfers across. It is how you get a hologram onto a carton, a book cover or a certificate without sticking a label on.
Two kinds. Continuous foil has a repeating pattern and can be stamped anywhere, which is cheaper and more forgiving. Registered foil has a design that must land in one exact spot, so your press has to be accurate.
It comes off the same line as our labels: same film, same machines, same checks. For printers it is an easy way to start with us. No artwork to protect, no die-cutting, just a material spec.

Before you ask for a quote
What is the difference between continuous and registered foil?
Continuous foil repeats, so you can stamp it anywhere along the roll. Registered foil has to land in an exact spot, which needs a register mark and a tighter press. Continuous is cheaper and easier.
Can you match a pattern I already use?
Often, yes. Send a sample or a clear photo and we will tell you whether we can match it, get close, or not match it at all.
Which substrates does it stamp onto?
Paper, coated board and most common plastics. Uncoated and rough stock is unreliable. If your surface is unusual, tell us on the form.
Do you sell this in small quantities?
The minimum is set by roll width, shown in the table above. Tell us the width and length you need and we will price what works.
