The risk runs past lost sales. When a fake part with your name on it fails, the claim lands on your desk. Without a mark you can check, proving it was not yours is hard.
Distributors and workshops are the people who check. Someone with dirty hands in poor light has to be able to check it. A lab is no use at the counter.

Before you order
Things that change the specification here
Oil, solvent and heat resistance
Parts packaging lives in environments that destroy ordinary label adhesive. Tell us on the quote form whether the label sees direct oil contact, solvent wiping or sustained heat. It changes both the adhesive and the topcoat.
Long shelf life in a warehouse
Automotive stock can sit for years. Adhesive that performs at six months can embrittle at three years. If your inventory turns slowly, say so and we will specify for it.
Brief your distributors, or the covert layer is wasted
A Level 2 feature nobody knows how to check protects nothing. Budget for a one-page briefing sheet to your distribution network. It costs almost nothing and it is what makes the label usable in a dispute.
